Choose Natural Gas
The Prefered Energy
Clean burning natural gas is the most efficient fossil fuel
available and the least taxing on the environment.
Natural gas has been the fuel of choice
for new homebuyers for years! Ask a
professional chef and yes…natural gas
is the only way to cook. Whether it is
for space heating, water heating, cooking
or for your fireplace: cost, convenience
and cleanliness are all attributes that
make gas a great choice for many of
your home energy needs.
Natural gas has been the lowest cost
fuel for years, and it still is! Even with
the price of gas, electricity and other
home heating fuels like propane and oil
dramatically changing during the last
few years - natural gas remains the least
expensive energy choice for your home.
The Benefits of Switching to Naturtal Gas
- Saving money on your energy bills.
- Increased value and marketability when you sell your home.
- More hot water since natural gas water heaters recover up to twice as fastas electric models.
- Convenience: No more hassles with wood for burning, or oil and propane refills.
- Reliability: Standard gas water heaters and fireplaces keep working during power outages.
- Cleanliness: Fireplaces can be used during burn bans and are an excellent source of heat.
High Efficiency Equipment
We encourage you to select new high efficiency heating equipment so your
future energy bills will be as low as possible. New gas furnaces can easily
deliver efficiency levels of +90%. With current energy costs, it is more
important than ever to use energy wisely – natural gas, electricity and other
heating fuels. Ask your contractor about high efficiency gas furnaces and water
heaters and rebates. A utility rebate of $250 for Energy Star furnaces and $40
for efficient water heaters may be available from Puget Sound Energy
depending on the type of equipment you choose.
Evironmentally Friendly
Clean burning natural gas is the most
efficient fossil fuel available and the
least taxing on the environment. Using
natural gas directly for space and water
heating compared to electricity makes
a positive impact on the environment
by reducing overall demand for electricity
in our region.
